I have fallen in love a few times in my life, but this time it is different. It's not a "boy" -however we decide to define the term- but a site, or rather what this site allows me to do. Allow me to show you.
This is one of the "sets" I recently created on Polyvore. A set is a composition made of text, images, drawings - even music if you would like to. You are free to choose your own theme, but you can also take part in one of Polyvore's contests in which case the theme is already chosen for you.
As you can imagine this is very compelling for someone as visual as I am. It's not every day that I get to play with colors and shapes in this way. Finding the right accessories for an outfit and even discovering new items from everything that Polyvore and the internet at large have to offer is much more thrilling than high street shopping.
However, it gets even more exciting for me when I start my set with the jewelry I made and then go on to create an entire outfit around it. As the set shapes up I can see the full potential of each pair of earrings or pendant and quite enjoy seeing it as it could be worn. Of course this doesn't mean there is only one way to wear my jewelry and I have been creating more than one set for each of the items whose images I have uploaded on Pinterest.
The nicest surprise, however, came when mi items, specifically my snowflake obsidian earrings, were used in a set by another user. Even though I still have not advertised my jewelry and asked others to create sets with it this fellow Polyvore user liked my earrings enough to add them to one of her sets.
If you want to take a look for yourself and find out more about my latest passion, please feel free to check my Polyvore sets or Harsh and Sweet's Lookbook board on Pinterest. I would be thrilled for any sets you may wish to create and I will add them to the Pinterest Lookbook board.
I love hematite, onyx, and chocolate.
