Sterling silver (925) tends to oxidate over time and needs occasional polishing. The sterling silver used is recycled and these hoops are sustainable and eco-friendly.
Argentium (935) has higher silver content and is less likely to oxidate.
This hoop is available in various diameters and 3 different gauges:
- 20 gauge, a thin gauge commonly used for ear wires and perfect for everyone's piercings
- 18 gauge, a thicker gauge that may require a few days before it becomes comfortable
- 16 gauge, a thicker gauge that can only be worn in piercings that have been made with a needle sufficiently thick
