Sterling silver (925) tends to oxidate over time and needs occasional polishing. The sterling silver used is recycled and these hoops are sustainable and eco-friendly.
Argentium (935) has higher silver content and is less likely to oxidate.
This hoop is available in 3 different gauges:
- 20 gauge, the standard thickness for ear lobe piercings
- 18 gauge, a bit thicker at 1 mm in diameter, the choice for some cartilage piercings
- 16 gauge, 1.2 mm in diameter, a common choice for a daith and other piercings
